Tandem Press Brakes refer to two or more press brakes connect together and work synchronously. Each single machine can work separately to bend short metal sheet, but also can work together to bend long plate. When two machines work together, the bending capacity and bending length is double. Compared to one single big model machine, tandem press brakes are more cost-effective. Besides, the features and configurations are same as single press brake.
Connection and Synchronize
Press brakes are connected with cable. Then we set the same parameters in all control systems. Then operate the tandem press brake through one control system
CNC controller
CNC control system is better choice than NC control system for tandem press brakes. It makes machines work synchronously better. Generally, STARS Machinery recommend controller : Cyblec Touch 12, Cyblec Touch 15, DELEM DA53T, DA58T, DA66T, DA69T, etc.
Tandem press brake tools
The material of the press brake tools is 42CrMo. All tools are quenched during processing. The hardness is 55~60 HRC.
Crowning
STARS equip the tandem press brakes with crowning. On a press brake that is the Ram and more so, the Bed, “flexing” under the strains of tonnage being applied. Bending metals causes, the very subtle bending of the Ram of the machine upward and the Bed of the machine downward. The crowning makes compensating for the naturally occuring flexing of the bed and ram of the Press brake during normal operation. In a word, this accessory makes the bending result more accurate.
